Biography
Stephen Brennan is a Dublin-based singer-songwriter from Co. Fermanagh, drawing on folk, blues, and Irish traditional music. His debut EP, The Fisherman and other Stories, was shaped by a motorcycle journey across the world and explores loss, the natural world, and the stories we leave behind. He performs solo and with a full band, and also fronts Cold Shot, a blues and blues rock band.
Stephen Brennan grew up in Co. Fermanagh and spent years playing blues, rock, and folk across Ireland — gigs, festivals, the Rory Gallagher Festival circuit. Then he got on a motorcycle and rode around the world.
That trip changed what he wanted to make. He set aside the covers band and started writing. The result is The Fisherman and other Stories, a debut EP of original songs drawing on folk, blues, and Irish traditional music — and on whatever it is you think about on a long road with no fixed end.
Now based in Dublin. Performing as Stephen Brennan (solo and full band) and with Cold Shot, a blues and blues rock band.
